Bharti Airtel is offering 5G FWA (Fixed-Wireless Access) or Xstream AirFiber service to its customers, but only those with a minimum speed of 100 Mbps can avail of this service.
Earlier, this service was only available as a prepaid option for six months, but now it is also available for 12 months. Bharti Airtel has reintroduced the Xstream AirFiber plans for customers, and as per the website, the service is currently available in Noida and Ghaziabad.
However, there have been some changes in the service offering. Notably, the Xstream AirFiber router has been redesigned, and Airtel has made certain modifications to the service offering. Let’s take a closer look at these changes.
Airtel Xstream AirFiber Plans 2024
Bharti Airtel’s Xstream AirFiber service, which provides 5G Fixed-Wireless Access, is now available for customers who want a 100 Mbps connection. Previously, it was only offered as a prepaid option for six months, but now, a one year plan is also available.
The 6-month plan costs Rs 6,657 (inclusive of GST and Rs 1000 installation cost), while the 12 months plan will cost Rs 11,314 (inclusive of all costs). It’s worth noting that users who opt for the 12 months plan don’t have to pay any installation fee.
The updated fair usage policy (FUP) for the Xstream AirFiber service provides customers with 1TB of data. Once they have used this data, the speed will drop to 2 Mbps. Customers will also receive free access to Xstream Premium. For now, Airtel customers can use unlimited data at 2 Mbps without any data packs if they consume the FUP data offered by the Xstream AirFiber plan.
Airtel Xstream AirFiber offers 100 Mbps upload and download speeds, similar to a fibre connection. However, Airtel suggests that if you can get a fiber connection in your area, it would be a better choice than the Xstream AirFiber service.
